The objectives of the study include: 1.To further understand the current situation of Macau tourism education and its similarities and differences in comparison with tourism education in well-developed regions and countries 2.To discuss the future development trend of Macau tourism education. 3. To evaluate the developing conditions for the implementation of internationalization and localization of tourism education in Macau 4. To draft feasible strategies in the development of internationalization and localization of tourism education in Macau.

Research target. The research target includes those universities that provide higher tourism education in Macau, Hong Kong, Mainland Chinas, USA and Europe with sophisticated programs in tourism studies. Research instrument. The research materials are based on the analysis of literature review and relevant information to edit the development strategies of internationalization and localization of tourism education in Macau. To use the reference of experience materials in internationalization and localization of famous tourism institutes on developing tourism education. Macau local universities promote “Study topics on education conference of internationalization and localization” as core research materials. Expected Outcomes. This research is expected to have the following outcomes: 1. Through cross-visits and joint-studies with tourism institutes in other countries and regions like Mainland China, Hong Kong, Europe and the US for enhanced exchange studies, Macau local universities will have more potentials in internationalization and localization development 2. Based on the visits and observation of the methods and approaches used by prominent tourism institutes worldwide, Macau is in the lead in education exchange and cooperation with the rest of the world. Moreover, it will also establish the internationalization and localization strategies of tourism education in Macau 3. By understanding and learning from the experience of other institutions overseas, Macau will be better equipped to plan feasible prospects and concrete strategies in the implementation of internationalization and localization of tourism education in Macau in the future. As far as the conference paper is concerned, it shall be concentrating on the issues of Students’ perspectives or the Institution’s perspectives while the entire research outcome will be published in a monograph form when it is completed.
