There are varieties of approaches to teaching and learning. Prior studies show that each individual has a different way of learning and a single learning method is not appropriate in all cases. This study empirically investigates the relationship between motivation and assessment in teaching a Managment Information System course. Two studies are performed on a group of students attending a Managment Information Systems course in the State university of New York, College at Old Westbury. The research concludes how motivation with assessment feedback increases teaching effectiveness.
