Moral Education and its Effect on the Affective Development of the Nigerian Child

Morality is a concept that relates to the standards in principles of good behavior . It is concerned with the distribution between good and evil, or right and wrong. It is the quality of being in accord with standards of right or good conduct. Moral Education on the other hand relates to the moral responsibility and developing of skills of putting moral decisions into action. This paper takes a look at the concept of morality and moral education as it affects the effective development of the Nigerian child. The study is experimental in nature and the population consists of primary school pupils in Lagos State. Data collected will be analysed and suggestions will be made to improve the situation.
